At Ridge Kids, our volunteers are called Investors because they give of their time and efforts to invest in God's Kingdom by leading, teaching, and building relationships with kids. Amy Young
Minister to Children and Families
Amy began her ministry at Sixth Street (now Stone Ridge) in May 2010. She received her degree in Biology from Mississippi College in December 2009 and her Master of Divinity in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in December 2017. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Next Generation Ministries from NOBTS. Amy’s personal mission statement is “to glorify God by unashamedly proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit to the end of the earth.” Her passion is to see families worshiping God together in their home and church and to see children sincerely follow Christ.

Shannon is a small group leader during RKids Worship and RKids Sun Night. She and her husband, Brandon Cumbie, have a son who is currently in 6th Grade. Shannon loves to engage with kids and invest in their spiritual journey.
Apreal leads in our preschool area on Sunday mornings and nights. As a mom of two, she knows how precious children are to their parents, so she cares for our littles as if they're her own.
Harleigh, a student at Auburn University, serves as a leader in many areas of Ridge Kids throughout the year. Though she has a schedule full of classes and work, she invests a large amount of time in her church.
Adam, a school teacher, coach, and father of two, is a small group leader at RKids Sun Night. He also serves in many other areas of Ridge Kids throughout the year. Though Adam is very busy with school sports, family life, and other areas of SRBC, he still invests time teaching and leading our kids.
Ginger, Stone Ridge Financial Secretary and mom to Amy, regularly cooks and serves dinner during Get Real! on Wednesday nights. She also cooks for our Others First mission camp and co-heads the kitchen during VBS with Debra Perry.

Renee, a successful business owner and VBS super fan, is a small group leader for preK/K on RKids Wed Night. She also leads in several areas of VBS and other summer activities. Renee wholeheartedly believes in ministry to children.

Andrew is a small group leader for older elementary at RKids Worship on Sunday mornings. As a father, he knows how important it is to invest in the lives of kids and is excited about being part of the RKids leadership team.
Kristin, an elementary school teacher and mother of two, leads our infant/toddler room on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. She also serves in other areas of RKids throughout the year. Kristin enjoys investing in our littles and helping them become familiar and comfortable at Ridge Kids.
